Wheatland Union High School is a public high school in Wheatland, California, serving a large student population and hosting athletic games, tournaments and school-wide events throughout the year. To support food service during high-attendance events, the school required a flexible solution that could handle large crowds without relying on a permanent concession building. Rather than investing in fixed infrastructure, Wheatland Union High School chose a mobile concession approach that could adapt to different event schedules and campus needs.
The concession program is designed around classic game-day offerings commonly served from an American food trailer, making it familiar, efficient, and easy to operate for students, staff and volunteers.

About Project
Golden State Trailers designed and built a custom 30 ft school concession trailer for Wheatland Union High School, engineered for high-volume service during athletic events and large campus gatherings. The concession trailer was equipped with a flat top, fryer, warming equipment, refrigeration, stainless steel prep tables and a complete hood and ventilation system. Power flexibility was built in to support both generator and shore power operation, ensuring reliable performance across different event setups. The 30 ft layout was selected to accommodate multiple service workflows, fast order turnaround and efficient staff movement during peak game times.
Designed with a school-compliant layout and commercial-grade equipment, the trailer meets California health and fire code requirements while supporting consistent food service for large crowds. Custom exterior branding featuring the school’s Pirates identity was integrated into the wrap design, reinforcing school spirit and visibility at events.
