Frequently Asked Questions
Got questions? Here are the answers our customers ask most.
Can I build out this trailer base however I want?
That's exactly what it's for. The 8x18 trailer base, 18Base, is a blank foundation – pick the door and window placement, the equipment package, and the finishes, and we'll build the unit up around your menu. Lay it out in our online 3D builder, or call and we'll spec the whole thing with you.
Can the base be finished to pass a health inspection?
Yes. Once it's built out, the interior is clad in 304 stainless steel and run through NSF and California State Certification, so the finished unit clears the health department. Share your county or state rules before we start on the 8x18 trailer and we'll build to them.
What can the 8x18 base support?
Plenty. At eight by eighteen feet, the base carries a full commercial cook line – griddles, fryers, refrigeration, and a hood – with room to work behind the service window. The 8x18 trailer is rated for the loaded weight of a working kitchen, so spec the gear you need and we'll confirm the axles and tongue for it.
How long until a 18Base base is ready?
A bare base moves fast; a full build on top takes longer, and the calendar shifts with our current workload. The closer your spec stays to standard, the sooner it rolls out. Ask for a quote and we'll lock in a build date for your 8x18 trailer.
Will you deliver the base out of state?
We do, anywhere in the country. Whether you want the bare base or a finished unit, we haul it from California to your location. Drop the delivery point into your quote request and we'll roll the freight into the price.
Is the base built to code?
It's fabricated stateside to commercial-kitchen standards, with a welded frame engineered for the road. Built out, the 8x18 trailer earns NSF and California State Certification, plus the certified propane, electrical, and fire-suppression systems that let it run legally as a mobile kitchen.
What warranty comes with the base?
The base ships under a manufacturer warranty on the welded frame and running gear, and any commercial equipment you add carries its own maker's coverage. Terms run differently from part to part. Get in touch and we'll detail the full 18Base protection.
Can the base be financed?
Yes. Whether you buy the base alone or a finished build, we connect you with lenders who specialize in mobile-food ventures, so it needn't be settled in one payment. Look for competitive rates, flexible terms, and one-on-one support from your first unit to a fleet.
What does the 8x18 base cost?
On its own, the 8x18 trailer base is priced as a foundation; the figure climbs as you add equipment, finishes, and custom work. Because every unit is built to order, the surest way to an exact number is a quote or a build in our 3D configurator. Keep towing in mind – loaded out, it weighs well past the bare base, so confirm your tow vehicle is rated for it.
