About this policy

Golden State Trailers ("we", "us", "our") builds custom food trailers and food trucks, and designs the wraps that go on them. This policy explains what personal information we collect through our Wrap Design Studio, how we use it, who we give it to, how long we keep it and what you can ask us to do with it.

It covers the wrap design side of our business: the 3D wrap builder, the Wrap Design Request form, Wrap Ideas, the customer dashboard where you review and approve your design, and the pages around them. It applies whether or not you create an account, and it applies to residents of every US state.

We have written this in plain language. Where the law requires specific wording or specific disclosures, those are in the California and other state sections below.

Information we collect

Information you give us directly:

• Account information. Your first name, last name and email address. If you sign in with Google, see the Google section below for exactly what we receive.
• Wrap Design Requests. Your name, email address, phone number, ZIP code, project number and preferred contact method; your business details if you share them (business name, commissary location, business phone and email, website, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube and Linktree links); your trailer size, type and colours; your message to us; and the files you attach, which can include sketches, your logo, reference photographs and font files. You do not need an account to send this form. We also attach the campaign information described under "Information we collect automatically" below, so we know which advertisement or link brought you to us.
• Project content. Everything that makes up your wrap project: artwork and photographs you upload, colours, equipment layout, saved versions, generated renders, and the messages you exchange with our design team inside the project.
• Wrap Ideas. The title, description and images of any idea you publish, the text prompts you type into the AI texture generator, and the designs you like or dislike.
• Contact preferences. Whether you ticked the boxes agreeing to be contacted by email or by text message.

Information we collect automatically when you use the site:

• Usage data. Which pages you view, when you viewed them, how long you stayed and which page sent you to us.
• Campaign information. If you reach us by clicking an advertisement or a tagged link, we read the tracking values on that link: the campaign, source, medium, advertisement and network names, and the click identifier your advertising platform added (Google, Meta or Yandex), together with the page you landed on, the site that referred you and the time you arrived. We keep these in your browser and attach them to a Wrap Design Request if you send one, so we know which campaign a customer came from. They stay in your browser until you clear it, and each new tagged link updates them. We do not give them to anyone else, and we set no cookie for them.
• Device and connection data. Your IP address, browser type and version, operating system and the User-Agent string your browser sends.
• Sign-in sessions. For each active session we record your IP address, an approximate region worked out from that IP address, your browser User-Agent and a hashed session token. This is what lets your account page show you every device that is signed in so you can revoke one you do not recognise.
• Cookies and similar technologies. Listed individually in the cookies section below.

We do not ask for, and do not want, government identification numbers, payment card or bank account numbers, health information, precise location, or biometric data. Please do not put any of that in a message to us or in a file you upload. If you send it to us anyway, we will delete it.

Where the information comes from

• From you, when you fill in a form, upload a file, publish an idea or message our team.
• From your device automatically, as you browse.
• From Google, if you choose to sign in with Google.
• From ipinfo.io, which turns the IP address of a sign-in into an approximate country, region and city so your session list is readable.

Signing in with Google

If you choose to sign in with Google, Google sends us a signed token holding your Google account identifier, your email address, whether Google has verified that address, and the first and last name on your Google profile. Of that, we keep only your email address and your name. We do not store your Google account identifier, and we do not receive your profile picture.

We use it to:

• create your account and sign you in;
• address you by name inside the app and in the email we send you about signing in;
• credit you as the author if you publish a Wrap Idea. Public credit shows your first name and last initial, for example "Maria G.", never your full name and never your email address.

We do not request access to Gmail, Drive, Contacts, Calendar, Photos or any other Google service, and we hold no Google credentials of yours. We do not use anything from your Google account for advertising, and we do not sell it, rent it or transfer it to anyone except the service providers listed below who host and run this site on our behalf.

How we use your information

• To run the service: create your account, keep you signed in, save your project, render it in 3D and show it back to you.
• To design and build your wrap: our design team reads your request, your files and your messages in order to do the work you asked for.
• To reply to you about a design request, a quote or a project.
• To keep accounts secure: detect and stop unauthorised sign-ins, abuse of the AI generator and other misuse, and to let you review and revoke your own sessions.
• To operate Wrap Ideas: publish what you choose to publish, count likes and stop the same person voting repeatedly.
• To improve the site: understand which pages and designs people find useful, and fix what is broken.
• To send you marketing, but only if you asked for it. Every marketing email has an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing does not stop the email we must send about your own project or your sign-in.
• To meet legal obligations, enforce our terms, and establish or defend legal claims.

Cookies and similar technologies

These are the cookies this site sets. We do not use advertising cookies, and we do not run third-party advertising pixels.

You can accept or decline analytics cookies when you are asked, and change your mind at any time using the "Cookie settings" link in the footer, which appears whenever analytics is switched on. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings at any time. Blocking the strictly necessary cookies will sign you out and stop the account features working.

Global Privacy Control. If your browser or extension sends a Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal, we treat it as an instruction to turn off non-essential cookies and to opt you out of any sharing of your information, automatically, without you having to ask.

Do Not Track. There is still no agreed industry standard for what a Do Not Track browser signal should mean, so we do not respond to it. We do respond to Global Privacy Control, as described above.

We do not let any third party collect information about your activity across other websites through our site.

Who we share information with

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising, as those terms are defined by California law. We have not done either in the last twelve months. We do not give your information to anyone for their own marketing.

We do use other companies to run this service. They may only use what we give them to do the job we hired them for, and they may not use it for anything of their own. These are all of them:

Beyond those providers, we will disclose personal information only:

• when the law requires it, or in response to a valid legal request from a court or government authority;
• when we need to in order to investigate suspected fraud or abuse, to enforce our terms, or to protect the rights, property or safety of our customers, our staff or the public;
• if our business is merged, acquired or sold, in which case we will tell you before your information becomes subject to a different privacy policy.

AI design features

Some parts of the studio can generate wrap artwork from a description you type. When you use one of them, the text you typed is sent to OpenAI to be checked against our content rules, and then to OpenAI or Replicate to generate the image. Alongside the prompt we send a standard trailer layout diagram that ships with our software, so the artwork lands in the right place on the panel.

What we do not send: your name, your email address, your account identifier, and any photograph, logo or artwork you uploaded. Files you upload stay in our own storage and are never sent to an AI provider. The generated image comes back to us and is saved with your project or your idea.

Please do not type personal information about yourself or anyone else into a design prompt. It does not help the artwork, and it leaves our systems.

Content you choose to publish

Wrap Ideas is a public gallery. If you publish an idea, its title, description and images become visible to anyone on the internet and can be indexed by search engines. The page credits you with your first name and last initial, for example "Maria G.", and that credit links to the other ideas you have published. We never publish your email address, your phone number or your full surname.

Your private wrap project is a different thing entirely. It is visible only to you, to anyone you have explicitly granted access, and to our staff. Publishing an idea is always a deliberate action, and you can unpublish or delete an idea at any time, or ask us to do it for you.

How long we keep information

We keep personal information only as long as we have a reason to, then delete it. In practice:

Where we are required to keep something longer, for example to comply with tax or accounting law or to defend a legal claim, we keep only what that obligation actually requires and delete the rest.

Your choices

• See and correct your details. Sign in and open your account page.
• Review and revoke sign-ins. Your account page lists every active session with its device and approximate location. Revoking one signs that device out immediately.
• Delete your account. Ask us and we will delete your account, the files that belong only to you, and any Wrap Ideas you published, along with their images. Download anything you want to keep first.
• Stop marketing email. Use the unsubscribe link at the bottom of any marketing email, or write to us. You will still receive email about your own project and about signing in, because those are not marketing.
• Cookies. Accept or decline analytics cookies when asked, change your choice from the footer, or block cookies in your browser.
• Unpublish an idea. Delete it yourself from the idea page, or ask us.

To make any of these requests, use the contact details at the bottom of this page. We answer within 45 days, and we will not charge you or treat you differently for asking.

California privacy rights

This section is for California residents and is provided under the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (the CCPA). It is also our notice at collection.

Categories of personal information we have collected in the last twelve months, and the categories of third party we disclosed each one to for a business purpose:

We collect these for the business purposes described in the "How we use your information" section, from the sources described in "Where the information comes from", and we keep them for the periods set out in "How long we keep information".

We do not sell personal information and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising. We have not done so in the preceding twelve months, and we do not sell or share the personal information of anyone we know to be under 16. Because we do not sell or share, there is no "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information" link to give you. We also do not collect sensitive personal information, so the right to limit its use does not arise.

As a California resident you have the right to:

• know what personal information we have collected about you, where we got it, why we collected it, who we disclosed it to, and how long we keep it;
• get a copy of the personal information you gave us, in a portable form;
• correct personal information about you that is inaccurate;
• delete personal information we hold about you, subject to the exceptions the law allows;
• not be discriminated against for exercising any of these rights. We will not deny you service, charge you a different price or give you a lower quality of service because you asked.

How to exercise them: email or call us using the details in the Contact section. We will confirm we received your request within 10 business days and respond within 45 days. If we need longer we will tell you why and take up to 45 more days. There is no charge unless your requests are excessive or repetitive, and we will tell you before charging anything.

We will need to verify who you are before we act, usually by asking you to confirm details we already hold or to reply from the email address on the account. We will not create an account for you just to make a request.

An authorised agent may make a request for you. We will ask for written permission signed by you, and we may still ask you to confirm directly that you gave that permission.

Shine the Light. California Civil Code section 1798.83 lets California residents ask about personal information shared with third parties for their direct marketing. We do not share personal information for third-party direct marketing.

Other US state privacy rights

If you live in a state with its own consumer privacy law, including Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, Texas, Oregon, Montana, Delaware, Iowa, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New Jersey, Tennessee, Minnesota, Maryland, Indiana, Kentucky or Rhode Island, you have broadly the same rights described in the California section: to confirm whether we process your information, to access and get a copy of it, to correct it, to delete it, and to opt out of targeted advertising, sale and profiling. We do none of those last three.

We do not use your information for targeted advertising or for profiling that produces legal or similarly significant effects, so there is nothing for you to opt out of. We do not process sensitive data, so we do not need your consent to do so.

Use the same contact details below to make a request. If we refuse it, you may appeal by replying to our decision, and we will respond to the appeal within 60 days with our reasons. If we turn down your appeal we will tell you how to complain to your state Attorney General.

How we protect information

Traffic to the site is encrypted in transit. There are no passwords on this service at all: you sign in either with Google or with a single-use link or code we email you, so there is no password for us to store or for anyone to steal. Session tokens are stored only as hashes, so a copy of our database does not hand anyone a working session. Files you upload to your project are kept in private storage and are reachable only through short-lived links issued to someone already allowed to see them. Access to customer data is limited to staff who need it for their work.

No website is perfectly secure, and we will not claim otherwise. If a breach affects your personal information we will notify you and the relevant authorities as the law requires.

Where information is processed

We are based in California and we process information in the United States. Some of our service providers operate globally, so your information may be handled on servers outside your state or country, where privacy law may differ. Wherever it is handled, this policy still governs it and our providers remain bound by their contracts with us.

Children's privacy

This is a service for businesses buying commercial trailers. It is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it. We do not sell or share the personal information of anyone under 16 under any circumstances.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy we will update the date at the top and post the new version here. When a change materially affects how we handle information we already hold about you, we will tell you before it takes effect, by email or with a clear notice on the site.
