This is a free online tool that lets you design a custom food trailer before production begins. You choose the trailer type, size, commercial equipment and additional options. Everything is displayed in 3D in real time.
Hot trailer or cold trailer
The first step is choosing the type of food trailer.
Cold trailer
A cold trailer is designed for non-cooking operations, such as coffee, smoothies, ice cream, and cold beverages. It includes refrigeration, water systems and counters for quick service.
Hot trailer
A hot trailer includes ventilation, fire suppression, and gas lines for grills, fryers, and commercial stoves. It’s the right choice for BBQ, taco, burger, and pizza food trailers.

Sizes ranging from 16 to 30 feet
The configurator offers 8 food trailer sizes, ranging from a small 16-foot food trailer to a large 30-foot food trailer. The size depends on the menu, the amount of equipment, and the expected volume of business. A small concession trailer is easier to maneuver and park. A custom large food trailer provides more workspace and capacity. In the 3D configurator, you can see how equipment is added to the selected food trailer size.
Commercial-grade equipment in the catalog
The entire equipment catalog meets commercial standards. This is the same equipment used in restaurant kitchens and high-volume food trucks. NSF-certified equipment. Commercial cooking stations. Refrigeration systems. Beverage equipment. Warming and holding units. You choose from a genuine commercial selection.
Design tailored to your menu
A taco food trailer requires a different layout than a custom coffee trailer. A BBQ food trailer needs different ventilation than a bar or smoothie food trailer. The configurator lets you arrange the equipment to fit your actual workflow. Not based on someone else’s template, just a custom food trailer design tailored to your menu and workflow. We produce wraps in-house using 3M vinyl with a protective laminate.
Your configuration is saved automatically
You can return to your design, make changes, or share it within 90 days. This is convenient if you're comparing layout options or waiting for feedback before finalizing your quote.
Permit support
The most important factor when building a food trailer for business is local regulations. You can submit the plan generated by the configurator to your local health department or jurisdiction before production begins. This reduces the risk of redesigns, delays, and issues during inspection.
We work directly with the California HCD and Washington L&I for state certification. For other states, we build in compliance with IMC, UPC, IBC, NFPA, and IFGC. Inspection-ready construction begins at the design stage.
What happens after I submit my request?
You’ll receive a personalized, no-obligation quote within 24–48 hours. A dedicated project manager will be assigned to your project. They’ll guide you through pricing, timelines, and any questions regarding the build. Once production begins, you’ll receive photo updates at every stage. Delivery is available to all 50 states.
